EuroCOP Spring meeting to take place in Gibraltar on Tuesday 5th to Thursday7th April 2022.
EuroCOP Head of Office, Nigel Dennis said “As we enter into our 20th year of existence we are continually evolving through our democratic processes to ensure that we are so much more than a “talking shop”. We are a pan European body of Police representative organisations that are transformational in their outlook and actions.
“As members of the ETUC, EuroCOP aspire to being a leading #Police representative body in Europe, whose voice are listened to, not only by those who construct policy, but also by legislators who enact it.”
EuroCOP’s overarching guiding principles in which we embrace whole heartedly can be found in:
The Treaty of Lisbon (2007) in article 2 which lists a number of “values of the Union”, including “respect for freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights including the rights of persons belonging to minorities”, invoking “a society in which pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity
and equality between women and men prevail”.[10]
