EuroCOP is proud to see colleagues from four of our member organisations coming together in Scotland this week for The Canmore Trust’s Third Wellbeing Conference, held on 29–30 October in Dunblane.
Representatives from the Scottish Police Federation, the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors (AGSI) in Ireland, the Police Federation for Northern Ireland and the British Transport Police Federation have been participating in this important event, delivered in collaboration with the Scottish Police Federation.
This year’s conference focuses on Frontline Policing: Suicide Prevention and Suicide Postvention, exploring the impact of mental health challenges and suicide on police officers, their colleagues, families and the communities they serve.
Mental health and wellbeing remain a key priority for EuroCOP. Across Europe, police officers face extraordinary pressures, and ensuring they have access to understanding, support and effective mental health resources is essential.
No police officer should feel they have to face these challenges alone.
We commend The Canmore Trust and the Scottish Police Federation for bringing people together to share experiences, encourage open conversations and strengthen approaches to suicide prevention and support following bereavement.
And we thank our member organisations for their continued commitment to improving the wellbeing of police officers.
By working together, sharing knowledge and supporting one another, we can help build a stronger, healthier policing community across Europe.
